Dhani Dharmaprani

Dr. Dhani Dharmaprani serves as a Future Making Fellow at the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML), University of Adelaide, where she conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of biomedical engineering and artificial intelligence. Her work is physically housed in the AIML Building at Lot 14, reflecting the university's commitment to cutting-edge computational research infrastructure.

Her primary research focus centers on transforming cardiovascular healthcare through digital innovation, specifically targeting cardiac fibrillation which costs Australia $1.25 billion annually. Key research areas include:

• Development of patient-specific cardiac digital twins (virtual hearts)
• Machine learning applications for cardiac data analysis
• Signal processing of electrophysiological data
• Computational modeling of cardiac arrhythmias
• Clinical translation of metrics for treatment efficacy

Her methodologies combine computational modeling with clinical cardiology to create precision medicine tools currently deployed at Flinders Medical Centre.
