Lieutenant Colonel Devon M. Callahan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the United States Military Academy, West Point. His academic and military career spans leadership roles in cybersecurity, network engineering, and education, including deployments to Afghanistan and academic appointments since 2013.

His research focuses on network science in computer and social networks, with applications in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, cybersecurity, and network optimization. Callahan’s publications reveal a sustained emphasis on hybrid optimization frameworks, software-defined networks (SDN), and interdisciplinary approaches to network security. His work bridges AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, social network analysis, and computer science fundamentals.
