Devon C. Duhaney

Dr. Devon C. Duhaney is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning and Acting Associate Dean at the School of Education, SUNY New Paltz. Since joining in 2000, he has demonstrated exceptional commitment to teaching, program coordination, and institutional service. His research focuses on integrating technology into teacher preparation, enhancing student engagement through media, and advancing online/blended learning pedagogies.

• Chaired Department of Secondary Education (7 years)
• Coordinated programs in Science, Mathematics, World Language, and Early Childhood Education
• Developed SUNY New Paltz's open access scholarship policy

Dr. Duhaney has secured over $1 million in grants, including the Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) for underserved students and teacher development initiatives. He actively mentors students through Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Teachers (TSTT) and serves on regional/national educational committees.

Scientific Awards

His career spans roles as an Instructional Design Specialist at the University of Maine System and radio production work in Jamaica. He also co-founded SUNY New Paltz’s former television program On Campus at SUNY New Paltz.
