Dr. Devendra Agrawal is a Professor and Director of the Department of Translational Research at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Western University of Health Sciences. He holds advanced degrees including PhD (Biochemistry) from Lucknow University and PhD (Medical Sciences) from McMaster University, along with an MBA and MS in ITM. A globally recognized scholar, he has held leadership roles including Founding Chairman of the Department of Translational Research at Creighton University and Senior Vice President for Research. His research focuses on translational medicine, cardiovascular science, musculoskeletal disorders, diabetes, and inflammatory diseases, supported by NIH grants. He has published over 410 peer-reviewed articles and trained 136 postdoctoral and graduate students.

Research Interests:
Dr. Agrawal’s work bridges laboratory discoveries to clinical applications. Key areas include ECM remodeling in rotator cuff injuries, mechanisms of plaque vulnerability in atherosclerosis, metabolic syndrome impacts, and regenerative therapies using stem cells and electromagnetic fields. He pioneered swine models for translational cardiovascular research and investigates environmental factors in disease pathogenesis.
