Desiree R. Wallace

Desiree R. Wallace, PharmD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy. Her research focuses on pharmacology, neuropharmacology, and clinical trials, with specific interests in pain management, stroke recovery, and aerospace medicine.

• 2019: Published in Cancer Treatment and Research Communications (ASCEND-8 pharmacokinetic study) and Nutritional Neuroscience (pomegranate for stroke recovery)
• 2018: Contributed to pediatric premedication trials in Paediatric Anaesthesia
• 2006 & 2005: Completed analgesia and acute mountain sickness prophylaxis studies
• 2002: Early work on Ginkgo Biloba for altitude sickness

She has served as an Investigational Pharmacist and Principal Investigator in numerous clinical trials with organizations including NIH, Gilead Sciences, and Merck, covering diverse areas such as HIV prophylaxis, liver perfusion systems, and neuromuscular blockade reversal.
