Dennis Mc Call Jr

Dennis McCall Jr. is a Senior Lecturer in Aviation & Tourism Management at Teesside University's TUIBS (Teeside University Institute of Business and Science). He serves as Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Airline and Airport Management (Top-Up) and MSc Aviation Management programs, and leads the Teesside Aviation Skills Academy (Interim). His research focuses on sustainable aviation development in Small Island Developing States (SIDS), remote regions, and the Caribbean, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Education includes a BSc in Tourism & Hospitality Management (UWI Barbados), MSc and PhD in Air Transport Management (De Montfort University), and a PGCLTHE (Teeside University). He holds an adjunct role at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus.

His 2024 policy brief on Caribbean aviation highlights sustainable practices and travel cost challenges in SIDS. He received the 2025 Team Teesside Star Award for embodying institutional values.
