Professor Denise Fitzgerald leads the Regenerative NeuroImmunology research group at Queen's University Belfast, focusing on Multiple Sclerosis and CNS demyelinating disorders. Her lab investigates myelin regeneration mechanisms and autoimmune inflammation pathogenesis.
Recent publications explore regulatory T cell functions in ageing CNS and retinal protection. Her research has earned multiple awards including the MS Society Research of the Year Award and British Society for Immunology Team Award.
