About
Dr. Denise Clark is an Honorary Research Professor in Biology at the University of New Brunswick. Her research examines genome evolution through retrogenes and purine nucleotide metabolism in Drosophila. With funding from CIHR, NBHRF, and NSERC, she investigates connections between metabolic genes and fertility, stress response, and gene regulation.
She teaches advanced courses including Bioinformatics (BIOL 4533), Advanced Genetics (BIOL 3013), and Genetic Analysis Laboratory (BIOL 3058). Key publications explore functional diversification of duplicated genes, retrogene evolution in Drosophila, and metabolic regulation of apoptosis.
