Dena Eber

Dena Eber is a Professor of Digital Arts, Associate Director of the School of Art, and Area Head of Photography at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). She has been affiliated with BGSU since 1997. Her academic credentials include a Ph.D. (1997), MFA (1994) in Digital Arts from the University of Georgia, an MS in Computer Science (1990), and a BS in Mathematics (1987) from Colorado State University.

Her research focuses on the aesthetics and creative processes of virtual environments (VE), digital media, and interdisciplinary collaborations with computer science. She explores themes of embodiment, femininity, and perception in her artistic works, which include interactive installations, digital imaging, and VE-based art. Her work has been presented at national/international conferences and exhibited widely.

Dr. Eber teaches courses such as 3D Modeling, Digital Photography, and Senior Studio for Digital Arts, emphasizing curatorial practices and theoretical research in digital media. Her contributions to the School of Art include administrative leadership and pedagogical innovation in digital arts education.
