Den-Ching Angel Lee

Dr. Den-Ching Angel Lee is a Research Fellow at Monash University's School of Primary and Allied Health Care and an adjunct with the Department of Physiotherapy. She holds a PhD (2015) and graduate qualifications from Monash, alongside a physiotherapy degree from La Trobe University (1991). With over 20 years of clinical experience in musculoskeletal therapy, aged care, and rehabilitation in Australia and Hong Kong, her work bridges clinical practice and research.

Her research focuses on falls prevention in older adults, physical activity promotion, evidence-based practice, and geriatric rehabilitation. She has led/co-investigated multiple projects, including feasibility studies on dementia care interventions and grief support programs for aged care staff. Lee has published 49 peer-reviewed articles and secured grants like the Lions John Cockayne Trust Fund (2012-2013) and the William & Katherine Winter Travel Grant (2023).

Key contributions include developing co-designed exercise programs for dementia patients and evaluating gait aid usage in aged care. Her work aligns with UN SDGs related to health and well-being (SDG 3) and sustainable communities (SDG 11).
