Dr. Demetrius L. Geddis is the Assistant Dean of the School of Engineering, Architecture, and Aviation and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Hampton University. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (2003), with earlier degrees from Hampton University (B.S., 1998). His expertise spans integrated photonics, micro/nano technology, and semiconductor materials. He has worked at Motorola, Bell Laboratories, NASA Langley (as a Faculty Fellow), and currently leads the NSF-funded Hampton-Brandeis Partnership for Research and Education in Materials (PREM), fostering interdisciplinary research in photonic materials.
