Demetrice Jordan is an Instructor and DICP Faculty Fellow in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She holds a dual PhD in Health Geography and Environmental Science and Policy from Michigan State University, an MPH in Global Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and additional graduate credentials. Her research focuses on spatial-ecological determinants of vector-borne diseases, climate change impacts on disease dynamics, global health equity, U.S. health disparities, and the application of AI/machine learning to disease diffusion. She recently expanded her work to include wastewater-based environmental surveillance and genomics.

Her awards reflect her commitment to equity and innovation, including the NIH Loan Repayment Program and the AAG Enhancing Diversity Award. She has developed programs such as Harvard’s Resilience and Inclusion in Academic Research (RCR) module and founded A-GEO, a cohort-based initiative to improve access to geography graduate education for underrepresented communities.
