Demestichas Panagiotis

Professor Demestichas Panagiotis is a faculty member at the University of Piraeus' Department of Digital Systems, leading the Telecommunication Networks and Integrated Services Laboratory (http://tns.ds.unipi.gr). He holds a PhD from the National Technical University of Athens and has been a Professor since 2012. His research focuses on 5G/6G networks, cognitive radio, smart wireless access, and network virtualization. He coordinates major projects like OneFIT and Hexa-X, and has supervised 10 completed PhD students with 3 ongoing. He actively contributes to standardization bodies (ETSI, IEEE) and European initiatives (Horizon 2020).
