About
Delidakis Christos is a Professor and Director of the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Cell and Developmental Biology (Sector A) at the University of Crete. He earned his PhD in 1988 from Harvard University. His research focuses on developmental genetics in Drosophila, particularly the role of Notch signaling pathways in cell fate decisions during wing and eye development. He serves as a faculty member at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB-FORTH) and holds offices in both the University of Crete and IMBB.
His research interests include studying transcriptional effects of Notch signaling, the function of E(spl) transcription factors, and the interplay between DSL proteins and ubiquitin ligases. His recent work explores the molecular mechanisms governing tissue patterning and neurogenesis in Drosophila.
