Dejan Tubić

Dejan Tubić is a Professor of Economics in the scientific field of social sciences at the Polytechnic of Virovitica, where he has served as Dean since November 2021. He previously held roles including Vice-Dean for Development (2020–2021), Head of the Department of Tourism (2016–2020), and progressed through academic ranks from lecturer (2015) to assistant professor (2020) and ultimately professor (2022). His expertise centers on rural tourism development, agrotourism, and tourism management in Croatia's continental regions.

• Bachelor of Economics (2009) in Marketing Management from the Faculty of Economics in Osijek.
• University Specialist in Marketing of Special Areas (2012), completing a thesis on agrotourism in Slavonia and Baranja.
• Doctor of Science (2015) in Management, focusing on rural tourism development models in continental Croatia.

Research & Professional Contributions: Dr. Tubić is the author of a scientific book and over 50 peer-reviewed papers and professional articles in rural tourism, agrotourism economics, and tourism policy. His work emphasizes sustainable tourism strategies and regional economic impacts in Croatia.

Administration & Leadership: As Dean, he oversees institutional development and academic governance. Earlier roles included leading the Department of Tourism and shaping curricula in tourism management and informatics.
