Deepika Sharma

Deepika Sharma, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a member of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and focuses on neuro-immune interactions in inflammation and homeostasis, particularly in the gut mucosa. Her research explores how sympathetic neurons influence colon tumorigenesis and stress-related disease exacerbation.
