Deepali Sachdev

Deepali Sachdev, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School, affiliated with the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation. She contributes to the Molecular Pharmacology and Therapeutics (MPaT) MS and PhD programs.

Her research focuses on the regulation of breast cancer biology by growth factors such as insulin-like growth factors (IGFs), with an emphasis on developing targeted therapies and biomarkers. Her lab employs non-invasive techniques like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), spectroscopy, and gene array signatures to predict and monitor responses to IGF signaling inhibition in breast cancer growth and metastasis. She also investigates the mechanisms underlying IGF-driven metastasis using animal models and in vivo imaging.
