Deepak Hegde

Deepak Hegde is the Seymour Milstein Professor of Strategy and Professor of Management at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, with a courtesy appointment in Economics. He also serves as the Founder and Andrew Hamilton Director of Endless Frontier Labs, a program transforming scientific innovations into scalable businesses, and holds roles as Chief Mentor at the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship and Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).

**Education**:

• B.E. in Industrial Engineering from Mysore University
• M.S. in Public Policy from Georgia Institute of Technology
• Ph.D. in Business Economics from University of California, Berkeley

**Research Focus**: Hegde’s work explores commercialization of technological innovations, entrepreneurship in science-driven industries, and policy intersections with innovation. His research has been featured in journals like Science, Journal of Political Economy, and Harvard Business Review, and addresses topics such as patent systems, venture capital dynamics, and political influences on research funding.
