Deena White

Deena White is a retired Full Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Sociology at Université de Montréal. She specializes in political sociology, focusing on social policies, civil society-state relations, and governance networks. Her research explores intersectoral collaboration, community action, and policy implementation, particularly in mental health, employment activation, and immigrant integration. She has led major initiatives like the ARIMA partnership and directed the InterActions research center, emphasizing applied social research with community stakeholders.
