Debra Sloam

Debra Sloam is a Lecturer in Midwifery at the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare, University of West London. She qualified as a midwife in New Zealand in 1994 and has worked in the NHS since 1997, holding roles such as Labour Ward coordinator, Lead midwife for Critical Care, and Infant Feeding Lead. Her academic role since 2021 focuses on teaching and clinical practice integration.
