Debra Schulte

Dr. Debra Schulte serves as Assistant Professor of Nursing Education and Graduate Nursing Clinical Coordinator at Arkansas State University's College of Nursing & Health Professions, teaching full-time in the traditional BSN program since January 2023.

Dr. Schulte's research centers on Women's Heart Health and Cardiovascular Risk Reduction, driven by 27 years of clinical experience spanning cardiovascular surgery, ICU, ER, and family practice. She specializes in identifying overlooked cardiac risk factors in female patients and developing early intervention strategies through pharmacological and lifestyle modifications.

Professionally affiliated with ANA, ARNA, AANP, ANPA, and Sigma Theta Tau (Eta Theta Chapter), she has precepted FNP students since 2016 and oversees graduate clinical education as Coordinator. Her teaching expertise includes Med Surg, Health Assessment, Cardiovascular Thoracic, and Pharmacology curricula.
