Debra Law is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at San José State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Nursing from UCSF (2022) and a Master of Science in Nursing from CSU-San Jose (2012). Her research focuses on healthcare disparities, particularly barriers to organ donation among African-American communities in California. She has received the Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Award (2011-2012) and participated in the Yale School of Nursing Summer Research Internship.
Professional memberships include Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the National Black Nurses Association. Her work integrates clinical practice with public health advocacy to address systemic inequities in healthcare access and outcomes.
