Prof. Debra Austin is Professor of the Practice of Law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, recognized with the University of Denver Distinguished Teaching Award (2019) and Civility in Practice Award (2023). Her interdisciplinary work bridges neuroscience, psychology, and legal practice to enhance lawyer well-being and cognitive performance.
Her research investigates neurobiological impacts of chronic stress on legal professionals, developing evidence-based strategies for resilience building, cognitive enhancement, and ethical practice.
