Deborah Walters

Deborah Walters is an Associate Professor Emerita in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University at Buffalo. She also holds an Adjunct Associate Professor Emerita position in Psychology within the College of Arts and Sciences. Previously, she served as Associate Dean Emerita in the College of Arts and Sciences.

• BS in Engineering, Swarthmore College (1973)

Research Interests: Dr. Walters focuses on cognitive science, computational vision, neural networks, parallel processing, and visual perception. Her work bridges interdisciplinary fields such as artificial intelligence and neuroscience, emphasizing theoretical and applied aspects of computational systems.
