Dr. Deborah Savage is a Professor of Theology at Franciscan University with a PhD in Religious Studies from Marquette University. Her research focuses on philosophical and theological anthropology, particularly the theology of man and woman, human work and vocation, and Catholic Social Thought.
Dr. Savage's education includes a Th.M. from the University of St. Thomas and a B.S. in Business Administration from San Jose State University. She brings over 25 years of business experience to her theological research.
Her research examines the theological meaning of work as a locus of personal conversion and sanctification, with specialized expertise in Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II's philosophical anthropology. She co-founded the Siena Symposium for Women, Family, and Culture to advance Christian feminism.
