Deborah Lancastle

Deborah Lancastle is an Associate Professor at Cardiff University's Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, affiliated with the Applied Psychology Research and Innovation Group. She holds a PhD in Psychology from Cardiff University (2007) and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the School of Chemistry (2001). Her research focuses on emotional regulation, mental health interventions, reproductive health, and systemic reviews. Lancastle leads projects addressing access to psychological interventions for minority ethnic communities and investigates physical activity's role in mental well-being.

Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to Education and Good Health. Key areas include empathy measurement in nursing education, menopausal symptom management via digital tools, and genomic healthcare capacity evaluation. Lancastle has co-authored over 45 publications and actively engages in public speaking on topics like infertility coping strategies and youth mental health through professional football clubs.
