Deborah Denton is a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Marketing Department at Lancaster University's Management School. Her current responsibilities include:
- Marketing Core Skills Lead
- Academic Employability Champion
- Module Leader for undergraduate courses: Marketing Core Skills (MKTG100/200/300), Introduction to Marketing (MKTG101), Marketing Simulation (MKTG206), and Routes to Market (MKTG229)
- Module Leader for postgraduate Marketing Simulation (MKTG401[1])
Previously, she served as Director of Part I Studies for Marketing (2017-2022) and as UG and PG assessments officer.
Her research interests focus on:
- Marketing Strategy and Management
- Sustainable Marketing, particularly ethics and sustainability in product/packaging design and supply chains
- Higher Education Teaching and Learning, with emphasis on embedding responsibility into curricula and student development
With a professional background spanning 19 years in sales and marketing (including Head of Marketing Services for an international brewing company and Brand Director for a pub chain), she integrates industry insights into her academic work. Her dedication to student success is reflected in her roles as Academic Employability Champion and Core Skills Lead, where she champions inclusive academic and career support.
