Deborah Bellingham is a Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at the University of Chester, UK. She is affiliated with the Centre for Student Exchange & Language Development within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences. Her role involves delivering In Sessional English (ISE) programs for international postgraduate students in Business, Management, Computer Science, and Cybersecurity. She collaborates with the Business School to refine specialized language support for business disciplines.
Deborah holds an MBA from Lancaster University (1997–1999) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (PGDipTESOL) from Trinity College London (Nov 2016–Aug 2017). Her teaching focuses on equipping non-native speakers with academic language proficiency tailored to their disciplines. Her research interests include EAP methodologies, ESP applications, and integrating technology into language instruction.
