Deborah Allan

Deborah Allan is a Senior Lecturer in Retail and Marketing and Programme Leader for the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship in Retail at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Business School. She joined in 2019, bringing over two decades of senior leadership experience in retail with brands like Levi Strauss & Co. and Hamleys of London.

Awards: Recognized as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2020) for excellence in teaching and student support.

Advisory & Grants: Supervises undergraduate and masters dissertations, mentoring students in retail business projects. She also serves as a Personal Tutor, guiding academic and career development.

Labs/Teams: Leads the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship programme, blending academic and professional training for retail professionals.
