About
Debi Bhattacharya is Professor of Behavioural Medicine at the University of Leicester's School of Allied Health Professions. She leads research applying behavioural science to medication management challenges including deprescribing and adherence.
Current research includes the £2.4M CHARMER programme testing deprescribing interventions in 24 hospitals and the £2.7M IMAB-Qi initiative developing adherence solutions across primary care. She directs the NIHR Incubator for pharmacy research capacity building.
National roles include membership on NIHR funding panels and editorial boards for Patient Preference and Adherence and International Journal of Pharmacy Practice.
