Deanna Tenorio is an Instructor in the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of New Mexico. She holds a BA in Interpersonal Communication and English, and an MA in Literature from UNM. Her research focuses on Indigenous and Chicana feminisms, the female bildungsroman in post-colonial texts, and education system assimilation. She has taught as a Core Writing Instructor at UNM and emphasizes mentorship, practical application, and community-building in her teaching.
Deanna is actively involved in community support, co-founding a flamenco studio for children in Albuquerque and volunteering in youth sports. Her academic background and professional commitments reflect a dedication to both scholarly and community engagement.
