Dayu Lin

Dayu Lin is a Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Her research focuses on understanding the neural circuits underlying innate social behaviors in mice, utilizing advanced genetic, electrophysiological, and computational methods.

Education: PhD in Neuroscience from Duke University; Postdoctoral Training at California Institute of Technology under David Anderson.

Research Interests: Dr. Lin investigates how sensory information drives social behaviors like mating, aggression, and parenting. Key areas include neural circuit plasticity, dopamine/oxytocin signaling, and social experience impacts on behavior. Techniques include genetic engineering, in vivo recordings, and computational modeling.

Lab Activities: The Lin Lab employs innovative methods to dissect neural circuits, with current projects exploring aggression circuit plasticity and hypothalamic oxytocin pathways in social learning.
