Dayna Laviolette is an Instructor in the College of Nursing at the University of Manitoba, where she contributes to nursing education through simulation, skills training, theory instruction, and senior practicum advising. She is based at the Helen Glass Centre for Nursing on the Fort Garry campus.

Her research and teaching interests center on nursing education, clinical simulation, and integrating real-world clinical experiences into learning. She emphasizes storytelling and relationship-building to help students connect theory with practice in specialties including neurosurgery, NICU, and adult day surgery. Her work promotes interprofessional collaboration and student-centered learning.
Dayna received the ARNM Outstanding Interprofessional Team Award in 2022, recognizing her contributions to team-based healthcare education and practice.
She serves as a faculty advisor and simulation facilitator, contributing to student development and curriculum delivery. Her professional development goals include active participation in college committees and expanding her educational impact within the College of Nursing.
Dayna is not associated with any formal research lab or team, but her work is embedded in clinical education settings and interprofessional initiatives within the College of Nursing.
