Dawei Liu

Dr. Dawei Liu is a molecular biologist affiliated with the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Adelaide's Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. His research focuses on RNA regulation and therapeutics development, with significant contributions to understanding circular RNA biology and post-transcriptional gene regulation. He has pioneered studies on circular RNA biogenesis, trafficking, and function in cancer biology, as well as developed novel RNA manipulation techniques. His work bridges fundamental mechanisms and translational applications, emphasizing RNA-based therapeutic strategies and delivery systems.

Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD candidates as a co-supervisor, Dr. Liu’s research interests span from fundamental RNA biology to clinical applications. His expertise includes molecular techniques and disease modeling, positioning him at the forefront of RNA-based medicine development.
