Dr. Davies Adeloye is an Associate Professor of Public Health at Teesside University's School of Health and Life Sciences (SHLS). He holds an adjunct position as Professor of Public Health at Babcock University, Nigeria. His primary affiliations include leading the Global Health Epidemiology Research Group (GHERG) and serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Global Health Reports.
Education: PhD in Population Health from the University of Edinburgh (2015). Former roles include leading the NCDs data profile project for Nigeria (WHO/Nigerian Ministry of Health collaboration).
Research Interests:
- Global burden of chronic respiratory diseases (COPD, asthma, lung cancer)
- Climate change impacts on respiratory health in Africa
- Urban health challenges in informal settlements/slums
- COVID-19 long-term sequelae and pandemic preparedness
Grants & Projects: Principal Investigator for the UK Medical Research Foundation (MRF)-funded C2REST Nigeria Study (2024–2027), investigating climate change and respiratory health linkages.
