David Williams

David Williams holds the title of Emeritus Professor at the University of Liverpool and Professor of Biomaterials at the Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine, North Carolina, USA. He has held multiple leadership roles, including Chairman and Executive Scientific Director at Strait Access Technologies, Pty Ltd (2012–present). His career includes Directorships at the UK Centre for Tissue Engineering (2004–2007) and AorTech International Plc (1997–2002).

Research interests focus on biomaterials science, regenerative medicine, and tissue engineering, with contributions to global healthcare and medical technology. He has received numerous awards, including the CLEMSON AWARD (1983), GEORGE WINTER AWARD (1996), and ACTA BIOMATERIALIA GOLD MEDAL (2012).
