David Williams serves as Professor of Practical Ministry at Malone University within the College of Humanities, Education, and Ministry. With over 40 years of field experience and 25 years of classroom instruction, he brings extensive practical knowledge to his role as an educator and mentor. As the great-grandson of university founders Walter and Emma Malone, he considers it a sacred privilege to continue the family legacy in Christian higher education.
His academic background includes a D.Min. from George Fox University, M.A. from Ashland Theological Seminary, and B.A. from Malone University. Dr. Williams' professional focus centers on integrating faith with practical ministry applications, emphasizing leadership development and community engagement within religious contexts.
He additionally holds the position of Director of Church Relations and Practical Ministry Supervisor, where he cultivates vital connections between the university and local congregations. In his personal life, he shares 41 years of marriage with Carol Williams, with whom he has raised six children and currently enjoys thirteen grandchildren, all while maintaining active participation in Christian service.
