David Walker is an Assistant Professor in Environment and Geography at the University of Manitoba's Clayton H. Riddell Faculty. He holds a Ph.D. in Botany (Ecology) from the University of Manitoba (2001).
Research Focus: Combines geospatial technologies with ecological conservation, specializing in:
- Wildlife impacts of hydroelectric development (boreal caribou)
- Grassland invasive species management
- Conservation applications of GIS/drone technology
- International disaster resilience (Bangladesh)
