David Voegeli

Professor David Voegeli is a Professor of Nursing at the University of Winchester’s Faculty of Health & Wellbeing. He holds a PhD in immunopharmacology from the University of Southampton, with expertise in skin biology, tissue viability, and clinical research. His work focuses on moisture-associated skin damage (MASD), wound care, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He has published over 150 papers and contributed to international clinical guidelines via memberships in the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) and European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP). His research bridges clinical practice and translational science, addressing challenges like incontinence-associated dermatitis and peristomal skin complications. He also supervises doctoral students in cross-disciplinary studies and serves on the editorial board of Journal of Wound Care since 2010.
