David Vinski

David Vinski is a retired Managing Director of the Pittsburgh Playhouse and former Adjunct Professor in the Department of Dance at Point Park University. He is renowned for his work in folk dance, choreography, and cultural preservation. His career began with The Tamburitzans, an ensemble showcasing Slavic and Central European arts, and expanded to include teaching at institutions such as the CMU Dalcroze Institute, International Folk Dance Camp, and various summer workshops.

Key contributions include choreography for groups like Pittsburgh Youth Chorus and Penn State International Ensemble, earning recognition through awards such as the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts’ honor for his piece 'Appalachian Medley.' His teaching spans folk dance workshops and interdisciplinary programs blending music and movement.

David’s legacy includes fostering cultural exchange through dance education and maintaining a presence in both academic and community arts spaces.
