David Songco

Dr. David Songco, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and Clinical Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). He holds roles as a learning community navigator and clinician, focusing on integrating psychological wellness into medical education and providing mental health care in underserved communities. A graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (M.A. 2010, Psy.D. 2013), his work emphasizes addressing health disparities exacerbated by systemic barriers like transportation or housing insecurity.

His research interests center on relational and psychological aspects of medicine, burnout prevention for physicians, and accessible behavioral interventions for complex patients. Dr. Songco’s contributions were recognized with the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award from his alma mater.

At MCW’s Family Medicine Clinic, he delivers doctoral-level mental health services within primary care settings, aligning with his family’s legacy of healthcare service while pioneering holistic patient care approaches.
