Professor David Simar is Deputy Dean of Research Operations at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of New South Wales (UNSW). His research focuses on long-term complications of cancer and the therapeutic role of exercise in pediatric and adult populations. He leads translational studies from cellular models to human trials to improve early detection of cancer survivors at risk and enhance therapeutic practices. His work also explores the preventive role of exercise in pediatric chronic conditions.

Research Interests:

- A targeted exercise intervention for gynecological cancer survivors (ACUMEN Trial)
- Nutrient utilization in children with inborn errors of metabolism
- Impact of irradiation on metabolic and immune functions

Advising & Grants:
