David Schneider is a Full Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Ottawa. His research focuses on applying thermochronology and geochronology to resolve tectonic and metamorphic processes in Earth's crust. Current studies include extensional tectonics in the Cyclades, exhumation mechanisms in the Bohemian Massif and Grenville Province, thermal histories of the Canadian Cordillera, and Neoarchean-Paleoproterozoic tectonics of Laurentia.
