About
David S. Fay is Professor and Associate Director of Wyoming INBRE in the Department of Molecular Biology at the University of Wyoming, with adjunct appointment as Associate Dean. His NIH-funded research program focuses on developmental biology using C. elegans model system.
Research areas include:
- Molecular mechanisms of molting and cuticle development
- Regulation of intracellular trafficking by NIMA kinases
- Extracellular matrix function during embryogenesis
- Genetic tool development for C. elegans research
Current projects investigate epidermal cell fusion, membrane trafficking regulators, and cation pump functions in developmental processes. His laboratory mentors PhD students and postdoctoral researchers in molecular genetics approaches.
