David Ross

David Ross is a Sessional Instructor at the Faculty of Law, Thompson Rivers University, teaching Basic Tax Law. He holds a BA from the University of British Columbia and a JD from Dalhousie University. Currently, he works at the First Nations Tax Commission, a federal shared-governance body regulating property taxation on reserves. Previously, he practiced tax law in Vancouver at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP and Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, specializing in income tax litigation and transactions. He is pursuing an LL.M. in taxation at York University (starting 2023) and completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Course in 2014. A member of the Law Society of BC since 2012, Ross balances academia with youth cross-country ski coaching, emphasizing practical mentorship in both fields.
