David Robb is a Professor in Music at Queen's University Belfast's School of Arts, English and Languages. He specializes in political music history, focusing on Germany, Ireland, and Scotland. His research explores the interplay between music, lyrics, and historical contexts, particularly in protest songs and folk traditions. He has conducted extensive work on East German Liedermacher Gerhard Gundermann, including a CD project and a book (Songs of a Revolution).
