David R. Winter is a Professor of History at Brandon University, Canada. His research focuses on Western Europe from 1100-1650 CE, with particular emphasis on demonology, Iceland's cultural history, and medieval preaching texts. He co-organized the 2024 'Devil 2024' conference exploring modern Satanic Renaissance phenomena and participates in Iceland's Svartárkot environmental humanities field school.
