David Quinto-Pozos is a Professor in the Department of Linguistics at The University of Texas at Austin, College of Liberal Arts. His research focuses on developmental signed language disorders, constructed action, language contact, and signed-spoken language interpretation across languages including American Sign Language (ASL), Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), Mexican Sign Language (LSM), English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
His work also addresses pedagogical approaches to teaching ASL as a second language to adult hearing learners. He directs the ASL program at UT Austin and teaches courses on:
