David Prescott is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Social Science and Humanities at Husson University’s College of Science and Humanities. He joined Husson full-time in 2011 after seven years as an adjunct professor. His expertise spans healthcare administration, public health, and clinical psychology, with a focus on integrating primary care and mental health services, addressing food insecurity, and clinical empathy. He holds a PhD in psychology from the University of Nebraska and completed a clinical psychology internship at Indiana University Medical School.

Personal interests include running, hiking, and family life with his wife Diana (a psychologist) and three adult daughters.
