David Patient

David Patient serves as Professor at Vlerick Business School (Belgium) since 2020 and concurrently holds a Visiting Professor position at CATÓLICA-LISBON. His research centers on organizational behavior with emphasis on managerial communication, employee motivation, and justice mechanisms within strategy, entrepreneurship, and healthcare management contexts.

He earned a law degree from University College London followed by an MBA and PhD from the University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business. These diverse academic foundations inform his interdisciplinary approach to organizational phenomena.

Patient's scholarly work investigates temporal dynamics of justice judgments, agent bias in fairness perceptions, and the psychological consequences of informational injustice. His research integrates psychological, strategic, and ethical perspectives to address real-world management challenges, particularly in healthcare organizations where communication efficacy directly impacts operational outcomes.
